A large architectural coffee table from the 1980s in warm-toned wood and clear glass. Two solid block-shaped ends, each made of a thick top rail resting on two square legs, frame a wide wooden base. At the centre stands a sculptural hourglass-shaped support crowned by a moulded wooden rail, which holds three glass panels at staggered heights: two upper tops slotted into the side rails and a lower central shelf crossing beneath them.
The interplay of levels, transparency and rich wood grain gives the piece a strong graphic presence from every angle. A statement coffee table for a generous living room or lounge, with plenty of surface for books and objects.
Condition
In vintage condition with signs of use, including small chips and scratches on the wood (see photos). Structurally solid and stable.
