An ashtray carved from a single block of natural stone, in warm amber and ochre tones with darker brown and grey-blue mineral inclusions running through the surface. The stone has a semi-polished finish on the interior, with the raw texture of the material left visible on the exterior sides.
Square form with four corner cigarette rests cut directly into the stone. Approximately 13 cm across — solid and substantial in hand.
The natural variation in the stone — its warm colouring, the dark mineral spots, the layered texture — makes this as much a decorative object as a functional one.
