A striking Art Deco desk box built around two turned wood cylinder ends that act as rails for a sliding glass tambour lid — the glass etched all over with a fine geometric line pattern that catches the light as it slides open. A small turned wood knob serves as the pull handle.
Mounted on a rectangular wood base, the piece has real sculptural presence, equally suited as a jewellery box, stationery box, or simply a striking object in its own right.
