A round carved alabaster ashtray in warm cream stone, its low fluted body ringed with a hand-carved band of foliate motifs below the rim. Two notches are cut into the thick, stepped edge to rest a lit cigarette.
The dense, semi-translucent stone shows natural veining typical of alabaster. Please note an old hairline crack to the interior wall and light staining/patina inside the bowl from past use, both visible in the photos.
