A vintage cantilever armchair in the Bauhaus/Mart Stam tradition, built around a chrome tubular steel frame that sweeps into a continuous, legless silhouette with a gentle, springy give. Cognac saddle leather sling seat and backrest are stretched across the frame and secured with chrome end caps, with a canvas backing beneath the seat for support — a timeless piece of functionalist modernist design.
The leather has developed a warm, lived-in patina, with visible surface scratches, scuffs and light marks on both the seat and the backrest, as well as a small frayed area at the lower corner of the backrest where the leather meets the frame. The chrome is bright overall but shows spots of pitting and oxidation, mainly on the underside and inner parts of the frame. The canvas underside of the seat has a few light stains. The chair is structurally sound and stable, ready to use as a desk chair, dining chair or accent chair.
