A generous two-seater sofa from the 1970s. Two plump, button-tufted modules in deep chocolate-brown leather sit within a continuous polished chrome tube that wraps around the base and one side, giving the piece a soft, cloud-like, sculptural silhouette. Low, deep and enveloping, it is a true statement of Seventies lounge design, perfect for a living room or a reading corner.
The leather has developed a strong, characterful patina, with a fine crackled surface and lighter, faded areas on the seats, arm and front panels. Please note that the corner of one seat cushion had several tears in the leather: they have been patched and reinforced from underneath, so they will not spread further, but the openings remain visible on the surface, as shown in the photos. There are also scuffs on the lower front panels, and the chrome tube shows light wear. The structure is solid and the sofa remains comfortable to sit on.
