A radiant two-tier coffee table by Belgochrom, the Belgian house that defined the golden age of 1970s glamour. Four faceted legs, sharply cut like crystals at their summits, rise in 23-carat gold-plated metal to hold a floating slab of thick clear glass with canted corners. Below, a slender gold frame suspends a shelf of smoked bronze glass, doubling the play of reflections.
Pure Space Age opulence: light passes through, gold catches it, and the geometry turns the table into a sculptural object — somewhere between jewellery and architecture. A statement piece for a living room, a gallery space or a lounge with a taste for bold, luminous design.
The original Belgochrom label underneath guarantees the 23-carat pure gold plating ("Gewaarborgd verguld 23 KT – Garanti or pur fin 23 ct").
Condition
In vintage condition with visible signs of age. The gold plating has developed a patina, with spots, light scratches and some worn areas on the legs and frame. The clear glass top has a small chip on one corner and a small mark on another, with light scratches on the surface; there are traces of old adhesive where the glass rests on the legs. The smoked glass shelf shows light scratches and marks. Structurally solid and stable.
